Advantage Portfolio Limited is a professional, service-led company founded by businessmen who are professional property experts with a speciality in innovative wealth retention schemes and emerging market property.

The company aims to offer clients innovative products which meet current market needs; most recently the introduction of a professional Capital Allowance claims service which aims to redress the issue of 96% of commercial Capital Allowances going unclaimed.

History

Advantage Portfolio was established in 2004 to address the lack of professional and personal support for investors seeking access to the investment opportunities presented by emerging market buy-to-let properties, markets where clear and practical advice has been lacking despite the significant opportunities available.

The company was formed by a group of experienced investors, who having made significant personal investments into off-plan residential property in the new European Union countries Poland, Czech Republic, Southern Cyprus and Romania shortly after their accession into the EU joined to provide expert property advice to other investors. The founders are now active in all aspects of property advice and are also engaged in fund management in emerging markets including Brazil and Romania.

In 2008 the companys focus moved away from emerging market property as the appetite for such products decreased. Responding to the needs of investors, Advantage Portfolio has researching and establised innovative ways of retaining wealth. As a result, the company identified tax relief from Capital Allowances as a strong but time sensitive opportunity for significant savings for their Furnished Holiday Let clients. With initial successes in this field, the wider implications of the allowances for UK commercial property owners became aparent.

The company has now launched a retrospective Capital Allowance claims service which supports all sectors of the United Kingdom as well as Holiday Lets in Central Europe.
